I finished stitching these in the golden autumn light of this afternoon and as you can see they are completely different from anything else I have done; a result of my current navajo obsession. Obsession I tell you! I keep waiting for it to wane but if anything it is getting worse. Any super-sleuths out there may also have spied another navajo-inspired piece of stitchy awesomeness in the preview of next month's CrossStitcher...but more on that when the time comes.
I have loved working with colour for a change, though I am already craving neutrals again! I think maybe I just had to get a bit of colour out of my system before I could go back to business as usual.
I have something a bit different planned for these two so the patterns won't be in the shop for another couple of weeks yet, but in the meantime I would love to hear what you think of them. I am excitedly waiting for a new camera to arrive as the recent photoshoot for my book inspired me to branch out from my point and shoot, so with any luck these little critters will look considerably better the next time you see them...

Hello,
I'm in bed with a horrible cold and have just came across your shop and blog. Both things have cheered me up no end! I remember cross stitching with my grandparents years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it but have been put off by the traditional flowery designs. Your designs are beautiful and modern and I'm so excited to get started. Your blog is very inspiring :)

Hello Laura - how lovely, thank you! Sorry to hear you are unwell, though duvet days definitely have their perks and I am very happy that yours came in the form of stumbling upon my website... I hope you get on well with my patterns!
