The reason for my recent absence: one final big push to finish the rennovation of my small, sweet home. Take a look around...
The hooks and the beautiful frame bag were both birthday presents (it was my birthday the week before last and I am happy to report that I was thoroughly spoiled).
After 18 months of seemingly endless sanding and painting and refits and general nightmarish hard work it finally looks like somewhere I can call home. Sigh.
Of course it is not exactly finished - I have purposefully left it rather bare so that it can grow with me as I find things to add here and there, but the bones are complete and I cannot possibly describe just how happy that makes me. Now that it is done I literally don't want to go out, it is so lovely just to be here and enjoy it.
It also means that now I can get back to spending my time on my beloved embroidery, hurrah!
Welcome back.
Delilah x
Welcome back! I've been checking in on your blog since your little bird was highlighted on Feeling Stitchy, and it's really fun to see your newest post. Your home looks *amazing.* Absolutely adore your color palette. Enjoy!

Your little home is stunning! I love the neutrals with the bits of blue, so serene. I would want to stay in too.
Nicely done indeed.

Gorgeous, I love your home.
I also love your bird cross stitch - alas I'd never make it look good :-(

Found your home pics through Desire to Inspire-- so lovely and calming! Love your open shelving with the lower cut-out to allow for baseboards! Thanks, too, for the suggested music; I have been playing "Emma" nonstop since I downloaded it from iTunes!

Thanks!
I have never even seen that blog but I just clicked over to it and it looks AMAZING! Thanks for the tip! I had no idea I had been featured either.
Glad you like the Emma soundtrack - I'm actually listening to it right now, hehe. It's lovely.

Hello Sophie, stumbled by accident on your beautiful blog. How I enjoy 'looking around' : your home is gorgeous, so peaceful and well balanced. Having just moved myself (yet again;0)) it is inspiring to peek into houses that are so well balanced as yours. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you Flora - I must admit there is rather more stuff crammed in now as the business has grown quite a bit since I took these photos! It is still my favourite place to be though.
