Beautiful ♥

I love the frames. Where do you get them from? :)

RobynE

These are very beautiful. I love them so much as a group.

Shelly aka 14countess

These are breath-taking! Really inspiring work.

MrsA

So beautiful! This is just the kind of thing I've been looking for to decorate my bedroom walls with. Looking forward to getting the patterns :)

Delilah

Thank you for the lovely comments. The frames are mostly from Laura Ashley, and a couple are from T K Maxx here in the UK. I will have the patterns in the shop as soon as I can - keep your eyes peeled...

Sylvie

I like them very much, I will wait for the patterns. I want them for my home, I like very much your composition, lovely!!

Delilah

Thanks Sylvie! Some of the patterns should definitely be in the shop later this week - I can resume normality a bit now that the craft fair is out of the way!

Consuelo

...so beautiful!!!

Maya

I love love love your patterns !

But I was wondering : what kind of gold thread do you use ? It seems so smooth. I cannot get the same kind of result with mine, it ends up with tiny bumps.

I really hope to see new patterns soon ^.^

What Delilah Did

Thanks Maya!

I use a thread called "Glista" by Stancraft. I don't think it is specifically meant for hand embroidery and it is a bit of a pig to stitch with (it frays and unravels very easily), but it is what I found in my local haberdashery when I started stitching and I liked the colour better than any of the stranded threads.

Rather irritatingly though I believe it must have been discontinued as I can't seem to find it anywhere anymore and only have a few reels left in my stash.

I have used Kreinik fine braid for some more recent patterns (including the ones I have made for CrossStitcher Magazine) as this is much easier to get hold of and far easier to stitch with, but sadly the look is not exactly the same.

Maya

Thank you for your answer ^.^

I have been looking for some new metallic thread since then, and it seems Aurifil Brillo is very easy to stitch with, but it looks a little less shiny from the pictures I have seen. I plan on doing your bee pattern using it, I will let you know how it turned out.

And I will try to find some Kreinik too :)
