It is so close I can hardly bear it...only two more full days of work before my day-job becomes a half-a-day-job so that I can concentrate on my stitching - I am so excited I think I might explode before February arrives!
Aside from lots more textile-related things, I fully intend to use the newfound hours for a few little luxuries which have been absent for the last year or two such as sleep, swimming, biking, walking, baking and catching up on my reading - as you can see from the picture above the pile of books on my bedside table is reaching mountainous proportions and actually contains two Alice Hoffman books meaning she is literally writing them faster than I can read them, which is frankly rather ridiculous. And that is not to mention the pile of unread magazines just waiting to be cracked open on the other side of the bed.
Just two more days... Must hold it together...
Happy (excited) Sunday!

Just found your lovely blog via an old friend of your Mums. Wow I love your work, gorgeous!

Thank you! I am glad you like it.
Who was the friend I wonder?

Congratulations on the move to part time. I aim to only work 30 hours a week and it really does make such a huge difference to my sanity that the smaller paycheque is worth it. Hope you are enjoying your books and you haven't exploded ;)
The vintage tea party book is such a feast for the eyes, and the recipes are delicious. I can also recommend the Night Circus.

Thank you, I am still just about in tact! I haven't got very far with the books yet as have been finishing up a new design (which I hope to post about later tonight) but I can't wait to delve further into The Vintage Tea Party Book especially - when I flicked through it in the shop I was instantly in love as it seems that they have plucked things straight out of my head and used them to fill the pages of the book. Happy times ahead :)

Her name is Sue Thompson, she used to work with your Mum. I took my Cross Stitch magazine with your article in it into a kids music group she runs yesterday - she loved it :-)
